Gary L. Courtney's Obituary
Gary L. Courtney, 84, passed away on January 23, 2026, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Born on June 20, 1941, in Sebring, Ohio, Gary spent much of his life dedicated to his passions and his family.
Gary worked as an insurance agent, a career that was marked by his integrity and diligence. Outside of his professional life, he was a devout animal lover, especially fond of dogs, and enjoyed the companionship of many throughout his life. He also had a passion for playing cards, a hobby that brought him much joy and camaraderie.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Shelby; a daughter; two grandchildren; and his cherished dogs, who were a significant part of his life. Gary's presence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held at a later date at Highland Memorial Park in Beloit, Ohio, where friends and family will gather to honor his memory. Further details will be announced regarding the service.
