Gail Pegnetter Buttermore's Obituary
Gail Pegnetter Buttermore was born April 14th, 1946 in Pittsburg, PA. Soon after her family moved to Monticello, Indiana where her family had an interest in the resort area known a Indiana Beach. Her mom and dad had fun learning to water ski on the lakes surrounding the resort.
She graduated high school in Monticello, Indiana. Her father was asked to help run another family business, “Ethel Maid”, a clothing manufacturer in Schuylkill, PA, and Gail joined them in Pennsylvania. The following year, Gail accepted a position with a government contractor, TRW, and moved to Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Canada. At the conclusion of the contract with TRW, Gail moved back to the U.S. visiting her older sister Julia and spending time with her parents. Gail moved to Tarpon Springs, Florida where after a year she met and married Robert Buttermore in September 13th, 1979. They moved to St. Petersburg and opened an air condition company, Cold Zone Corp. She built it into the area’s A/C window and Wall AC companies with contracts with Pinellas County Schools, L.G. and Fedders North America as will as local hotels, motels and landlords throughout Pinellas and Hillsborough counties. With 5 full-time employees and her husband, they worked until her illness. She enjoyed good friends, games and mostly her Doberman pinchers which she raised 6. Gail attended Sacred Heart Church in Pinellas Park with her mom and dad who moved the Mainlands to be near her in their retirement. Gail is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Alice and her daughter Mary, who is also in the care of Memorial Park. She is survived by a niece and nephew.
