Freida Ricketts Amick's Obituary
Amick-Freida Ricketts, age 90. A resident of St. Petersburg since moving here from Columbus, Ohio in 1921 at the age of 3 and a 1936 graduate of St. Petersburg High School. Freida's devotion to Frederick and children created and maintained the family bond. Freida's credo was to do everything right
and if things weren't done right she would make them right with or without your
help. She was tireless in her devotion and love for family. Freida, a past member of Grace Bible Church was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Frederick, parents Earl B. and Cora A. Ricketts, brothers Vernon, Harold and Earl Ricketts and sister Viola Sutor and a son Timothy who was killed in Viet Nam in 1970. She is survived by a sister, Louise Heyliger of Tarpon Springs, son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Laurel Amick of Ventura, California, daughter and son-in-law Anita and Roger Pletcher of Largo, son and daughter-in-law Steven and Sharon Amick of Knoxville, Tennessee and grandchildren Victoria Amick of Newport Beach, California, her brother Taylor Amick of Newport Beach, California, Jeff and Jean Berry, Greg and Billie Jo Berry, Rick and Jennifer Berry, Randy and Ainsley Berry and Scott Amick who all live locally and Spencer and Tina Amick of Knoxville, Tennessee. Freida also has 12 great grandchildren, 9 locally, 2 in Newport Beach and 1 in Knoxville. There will be a graveside service at 12:00 Monday, April 13 at Memorial Park Cemetery
