Mr. Frank Morales' Obituary
Frank J. Morales was born 1917 in Managua, Nicaragua. He attended school at St. Joseph Christian Brothers School in Colon, Republic of Panama. He started working for the Canal Zone Meridan Steamship Corporation Company until moving in 1945 to the United States. There, he was employed by the Libby and McNeal Canning Company as an export manager. After 15 years, he went to work for the Marcel S. Garrigúes Coffee Imports and Exports Company until his retirement. While living in California, he served as President of the Panama Canal Zone Society of California for 3 years. After retirement, he moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. There he was a volunteer for 8 years at the Dixie Hollis High School of St. Petersburg and a member of the Panama Canal Zone Society of Florida. He served as President of the Five Towns Terrace Garden Association. He was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral in California for 20 years, then a member of the Transfiguration Church in St. Petersburg, Florida and finally Holy Cross of St. Petersburg, Florida. He was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Blanca A. Morales. Survivors include a niece, her husband, their two sons, their wives and two great-nephews.
