Frank K Brink's Obituary
Frank (Bud) Knight Brink of St. Petersburg, Florida passed away Friday July 10, 2020 at his home.
Frank was born in Flint Michigan on December 3, 1922, a son of the late Francis and Madeline (Knight) Brink. the family moved to St. Louis Missouri when he was 6 years old.
Frank was the widower of Therese E (Laramie) Brink of Florissant Missouri. They were married August 13, 1947. Therese preceded him in death on August 17, 1995.
Frank proudly served his country during WWII in the US Army Air Corps 458th Bombardment Group based at Horsham St. Faith RAF Air base in Norwich, England. He flew in 35 missions over enemy occupied Europe in B-24's.
Frank was a teacher at PVTI and retired in 1985, he enjoyed private aviation and experimental aircraft.
Frank is survived by his son Michael F. Brink (Rosalinda Santa Cruz), his two grandsons Michael Brink (Hannah Workman) and Jacob Brink. He has 3 Great Grandchildren Michael Brink, Thomas Brink and David Brink. He has several Nieces and Nephews as well - Vickie Heil (Michael), Jackie Rosen (Steve), John Brink, Rebecca Hagedorn (Larry), Jennifer Brink and James Brink (Marie).
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his sister in law Elizabeth "Betty" Brink, his brother Jack R Brink, as well as his Aunt + Uncle Mae and Harry Satterlee.
Frank lived to be 97 years old. He had a great long life which everyone attributed to him being an optimist!
Graveside services will be in December at Woodlawn Cemetery.
