Francis L. Pascucci's Obituary
Pascucci, Francis Louis "Frank, Luigi, Papa", 84 of Pinellas Park, Florida, passed away on August 26, 2007. He was born in Gloucester, MA on December 27, 1922. He, was a Christian and worshipped at Crosspointe Baptist Church. Graduated from Gloucester High School and participated in the school ROTC program. He served in the Army during WWl1. as Staff Sergeant in the 211st Field Artillery receiving the following medals: American Defense Service Medal, American Service Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He moved to Florida in 1957 to begin his career with the airlines. During his career with Eastern Airlines he became known for arranging airline tours, and his trademark "Bowler" hat and his nickname of "Luigi'; as well as providing the stewardess and pilots with the opportunity to bring home fruit from Florida. He retired from Eastern Air Lines as a ticket agent in 1983. During retirement he enjoyed working out in the yard and it was not uncommon to see him working in his garden late at night. Frank was a member of the Eastern Airline Retirees group.
Survivors: His wife of 61 years, Phyllis; his son Richard L. Pascucci, his daughter-in-law, Phyllis Pascucci, Essex, MA, daughter Elizabeth Beougher, Pinellas Park, her companion Jim Schimpf, Treasure Island, FL, granddaughter Lisa Salami, Westwood, MA, grandsons R. Drew Swafford, Pinellas Park, Myke Pascucci, Essex, MA and great-grandchildren -Stephanie Swafford, Largo, FL, Joey Salami, Anthony Salami, Maria Salami, Westwood, MA and Alliyah Pascucci, Venice, FL and Samantha Pascucci, Gloucester, MA .. His sisters Frances Worley, Las Vegas, NV, Sarah Wonson, G1oucester, MA, Esther Desjardins, Beverly, MA, Rosalie King, Miami, FL and brothers, Louie Pascucci, G1oucester, MA, and Vito Pascucci, Essex, MA. Predeceased by brothers Tony, Everett, Sam, Joe and a sister Maryann.
A memorial service will be held at the Crosspointe Baptist Church, 11225 US 19 N, Clearwater, FL 33764 on Wednesday, August 29,2007 at 11:00 am. .Pastor Everett Farris officiating. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, American Heart Society or any Hospice of your choice.
