Francis "Wes" Faulkner's Obituary
Francis Wesley Faulkner, Wes, was born in Chicago on April 2, 1928. His parents were Salvation Army officers so his life began in the Salvation Army Hospital in Chicago. He was dedicated to the Lord shortly after that and was active in Christian ministry thereafter for his lifetime. In his youth Wes was active as a songster, bandsman, local officer and Songster Leader. He responded to the call to be an officer and became a member of the Peacemakers Session which was commissioned on May 23, 1949. As a single officer Wes served in Savannah, GA, Miami and West Palm Beach, FL.
On April 2, 1951, Lt. Francis Wesley Faulkner married Captain Mary Maxine Patrick. Together they served in field appointments, including Gulfport & Columbus, MS. Baton Rouge, LA. Huntington, WV and Bradenton, FL. In addition, they served in the Georgia Division where he was the Divisional Youth Secretary and Divisional Music Director. Later, they were sent to the Territorial Headquarters Finance Department where he was general accountant, then Chief Accountant, Assistant Territorial Secretary for Business Administration in 1988 where he served until retirement on June 30, 1993.
Wes is survived by his sons William (Elaine), John (Susanne) and Jim (Diane), seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, he also is survived by one sister, Florence Faulkner Sholin of Del Rapids, SD, and an uncle who lives in England, and several nieces and nephews.
