Frances K Seibert's Obituary
Frances K Seibert, age 86, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017. Fran was born in Pittsburgh, PA on December 5, 1930. She was the daughter of Myrtle M. and John Francis (Pete) Kelton.
Fran married Warren H. Seibert, know to all as ‘Smokey’, May 5, 1952. They raised their family of four children in Pittsburgh until moving to St Petersburg in 1972. Smokey and Fran were owners of Beach Amoco on St Pete Beach, and Treasure Island Texaco for many years until Smokey’s health issues forced them to sell the business. Smokey passed away in March 1996.
Fran was a homemaker until all four kids had grown and moved out of the family home. She then worked part time at Sears service center for several years.
One of her proudest accomplishments was being a member of the Sweet Adelines. Her chapter, Pride of Pinellas, competed in many competitions that took them all over the country and to Europe. Fran served on the Board of Directors and was a chapter president. She was also named Sweet Adeline of the Year. She also served on the Sweet Adelines Region 9 Board of Directors.
Fran was a HUGE Pittsburgh Steelers fan and never missed watching a game. She also loved to play bingo with her friends at the Elks Club every Wednesday night.
Fran is survived by her four children; Barbara Seibert-Feathers (Chris) of St Petersburg, Jeffrey (Wendy) of Tampa, Randy (Kathy) of Denver, CO, and Amy Williams (John) of St Petersburg, her four grandchildren; Adam Seibert, Taylor Tingley, Natalie Feathers, and Haley Tingley, and her great grandson, Gavin Seibert. She is also survived by her brother-in-law and family, Ron and Joann Seibert, of Ft Myers, FL , and her favorite cousin, Hal ‘Sonny’ Kelton, of New Smyrna Beach, FL. And last but not least, she is survived by her beloved Yorkie, Darcy, who will now reside with Amy and her family.
The family wishes to thank the management, staff, and residents of Magnolia Gardens ALF, Fran’s residence for the last eight months of her life. We also wish to thank the nursing staff of St Anthony’s Hospital for their excellent care of our mother.
