I remember Gene as the kindness, sweetest gentleman, with that always present twinkle in his eye and that small smile on his face. What a pleasure to have known him the short time I was allowed. His example will be very hard to beat, as a gentleman, and a real estate agent. RIP Gene you so earned it.
REMEMBERED JOY, I could not stay another day, to love, to laugh, to work or play; Tasks left undone must stay that way, and if my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy.

Dear Aunt Kitty and family, my deepest thanks and appreciation for all of the love and affection you and Uncle Gene extended to me each and every time I made the journey to visit my father on the Gulf Coast of Florida. Time may enable me to better grasp the magnitude of the many acts of kindness I experienced in your midst, but now I am feeling sadness. This evening, I find myself holding an article that I always keep within my easy reach from the 2012 edition of Florida Realtor. The article celebrated Uncle Gene as the "Can-Do-Realtor." The article recounts that on March 9, 2012, on his 100th birthday, Uncle Gene called into the office to tell his manager that he was taking the day off. The Florida Realtor article quotes Uncle Gene as saying, "Go to people; make friends. If you don't like people, stay out of real estate." There is a lovely photograph that accompanies the article. Uncle Gene and my father looked very much alike and enjoyed each other's company immensely. The photograph stirs deep memories for me. My husband Alex and our children Daniel, Matthew and Catherine, join me in extending our deepest condolences to you. Please know how much we love you and our thoughts are with you and Uncle Gene, always.

My Dad, Eugene Shea did more with his kids than anyone could ask for In all those He was married to my Mom, Ina Mae ( Selee) Shea ( Daytona Beach, Fla).., They brought six wonderful good American strong into this world. Together, they had their children on the National Stage often as Swimming Champions in the 1950.s..St. Petersburg, Fla. Then it is something to mention. He was Proud,.His nephew, James Shea won in the Olympics Cross County Ski and then our cousin,s son Jimmy Jr. Shea went on to win the Skeleton,, Gold.. in Salt Lake City.Olympics.
Now let's Talk about how he was as a hands on father...Dad and Mom took all of us children to so many places that were nearby beaches and springs. Then he would load us all up, wtih the family Dog ,Bamby In the Big Chevy e Sota Seburban.and we would take the summer vacation to His beloved Lake Placid..N.Y..He would stop on the way ,often and we would see all the sites, parks, mountains, cotton fields, cows and horses! (Mooooooooooooo ! Dad would shout!.).
He adored his Mother, Grace( Obrey) Shea..and his brothers and sisters in Lake Placid, N.Y. All of us n his first marriage, would have the best time in our lives in the Lake Placid Summers!!
Dad's sparkling, Irish eyes with a half grin.,would always light up when he saw any one of us ( 2 families and huge amount of off-springs). His OB picture captures the look!!This is what I will remember the most!! That look in his eyes with some watery tears as he laid up in the hospital in his final few days as anyone one of us came to his side.. He is my Champion..always will be..love you Dad! And Just think this... He managed to support all of us very well for all those years with his Real Estate Earnings!! Nila Jean Shea
Kitty- First & foremost Joyce & I extend our deepest sympathies;he will be missed. Memories are so numerous that it's hard to settle on one. Always regaled by his many stories but don't have a favorite. One of the best was the dinner at Billy's , Joyce & I with you & Gene, I fully intended to pay but Gene quickly grabbed the tab with the caveat, "Don't you dare tell anyone this, especially your father.
God bless
