Ethel Fletcher Penkava's Obituary
PENKAVA, Ethel Fletcher, age 95 of Madeira Beach, passed away peacefully with family at her bedside on Thursday, October 6, 2016.
She was born in Chicago to David M. Fletcher and Marie Lohmann Fletcher on November 7, 1920. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill, and her brother Edward Fletcher, she is survived by her children William, Lorene, Paul and Debbie; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Ethel and Bill moved their family from Northlake, Il to Madeira Beach, FL in 1960. Ethel retired from Honeywell where she was a member of The Honeybelles. After retiring, she continued doing what she loved – swimming, dancing and bowling. She was a member of Seminole United Methodist Church.
Her greatest enjoyment came from being with her family, and they loved and admired her more than words can say! She was young at heart and always ready for an adventure.
Special thanks to her caregiver & friend, Kendra, and to Hospice. The family also wishes to thank their sister, Debbie, for sharing her home and giving Mom so much love and attention.
