Emma B. Henderson's Obituary
Henderson, Emma B., 95, of New Port Richey formerly of Seminole died Saturday, July 28, 2007 at her residence. She was born in Blue Bell, PA and came to Pinellas county in 1938 from Philadelphia, PA. She worked as a secretary for the Y.M.C.A for a number of years. She was one of the earliest members of the Church by the Sea in Madeira Beach, she was President of the Sunshine Beach, (now Treasure Island), Women's Club, she and her late husband T. Elmer Henderson established the Sunshine Beach Fire Department, and she was a former Girl Scout leader. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Lloyd Lassen, New Port Richey; two grandsons, Douglas Lassen of North Carolina, Edward Lassen of Georgia; a granddaughter and her husband, Cynthia and Willie Gleason of Georgia; and a great granddaughter, Avery Gleason of Georgia. A Memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday August 4, 2007 at Memorial Park Funeral Home - 5750 ' 49th St. N St. Petersburg, FL 33709. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Church by the Sea ' 13701 Gulf Blvd Madeira Beach, FL 33708
