Emerita Candelario's Obituary
Emerita Candelario, affectionately known as Mary, 46, passed away July 21, 2020 with her family by her side in Pinellas Park, Florida. She was on a liver transplant list due to liver disease and unfortunately lost that battle before a donor became available. Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and raised in Chicago, Illinois, she spent twenty-one years in Florida with the love of her life, Denley R. Vargas, and extended family. Mary is survived by her mother Emerita Alvarado Candelaria, and three brothers Christian, Pedro, and Ivan.
Mary was an incredibly loyal, loving, and generous soul who shared all of herself with the ones that she loved. Her warm hospitality always made others feel welcomed and cared for, and she always had a passion for cooking, loved watching her favorite cooking shows and cooking delicious meals and sharing them with the people she loved. Mary would always say cooking was her calm place and she enjoyed it very much. She loved spending time at the local beaches, also picked up a hobby in gardening which would light up her eyes when she saw the fruits of her labor. She loved her two Chihuahuas Chico and Sebastian. In her eyes they were her children. She was a strong, outspoken and warm soul. She was never afraid to tell you what you needed to hear or to comfort you as only she could.
Over the years, Mary worked for various companies as a trained professional in the area of quality assurance and dedicated her expertise to this field, ensuring product safety and maintaining high standards in her work environment. Her outgoing personality, kindness, and willingness to help others made for strong working relationships and lifelong friendships.
We will miss you greatly, Mary, and pray the peace and love of The Lord keep you smiling eternally in heaven. You brought tremendous joy to our lives and we are all so grateful to have had you with us over the years. You will live on in all of our hearts. You will be missed dearly by all the people whose lives you touched. May you rest in peace.
