Mr. Elvis Wayne Watson's Obituary
WATSON, Elvis Wayne of St. Petersburg, FL passed away March 21st, 2016 with his family at his side, he was 76 years old. Mr. Watson was born October 20th, 1939 in Austin, IN and served his country in the US ARMY as a Military Police Officer and later became Captain of Jefferson County Sheriff's Department in Louisville, KY. Mr. Watson was a Master Mason from The Grand Lodge Of Kentucky, F.& A.M., Plumb 862 and became an Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonel in 1967.
As a teenager working with his father the experience inspired him to open Fern Valley Exxon Service Center and Fern Valley Wrecker Service in Louisville, KY after resigning from the Sheriff's Department.
Upon moving the family to Florida in 1976 he founded Elvis Towing & Transport Services, becoming a trusted icon in the industry and a member of Towing and Recovery Association of America, Inc. and Professional Wrecker Operators of Florida.
Mr. Watson is survived by his wife Marlou, his children and spouses: Stephanie and Marson Jr.,
Kathy, Tony and Dawn, Bryan, Ronda and Bernard. Grandchildren: Tyson, Jason, Tony James,
Kylie, Christopher, Michael, Marson III, Christen and three Great Grandchildren. Sister: Joyce. Cousins: Billy and Jimmy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Geneva Watson.
A Viewing will be held at Memorial Park on Sunday, April 3rd from 10am-12pm and a funeral service will be held at 12pm with a committal service to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
