Eldon "Dennis" Zuercher's Obituary
Eldon "Dennis" Zuercher, 82, of St. Petersburg, Florida sadly passed away on December 24, 2023. He was born in Bucyrus, Ohio to his parents Eldon Sr. and Bette Jane Zuercher on January 6, 1941. Dennis, known to family as Denny, was an avid reader, a lover of travel, a math-whiz, a history buff, and most importantly, a man who so loved his family. As the son of two schoolteachers, Denny followed in the footsteps of his parents and became an educator, teaching social studies for Hillsborough County Schools for many years. In addition, he and his family were longtime faithful members of First Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg.
Denny is preceded in death by his parents Eldon and Bette Jane. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Diane Zuercher, son Dennis Zuercher, daughters Mary Leis-Plummer and Marie David; grandchildren Austin Leis, Hunter Leis, Henry Zuercher, Tyler Leis, Emma Zuercher, Jude Singleton, Atticus Singleton, Soren Singleton, Flannery Singleton, and Truman Singleton; his sister Diane Curtis of Lakeland, FL, and many nieces and nephews. Denny will be dearly missed and always remembered by those who love and cherish him.
