Mrs. Elaine Eklund Ghormley's Obituary
Elaine Ghormley, age 85, entered into eternal sleep peacefully on September 15, 2015. She is originally from Bethpage, NY and came to Florida with her parents as a teenager, attending St. Petersburg HS. She returned to New York and met and married the man of her dreams, recently celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. Never forgetting Florida she returned to Florida with her husband and their young son. Most of her career was as a real estate broker. She was very active in the local Democratic Party, a life member of Beta Sigma Phi service organization, and served as president of the Suncoast Handicap Association.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Henry, son Jack (spouse Silvia), grandchildren Jason Ghormley and Samara Palacios, and great granddaughter Sofia.
