Eileen G Slater's Obituary
Mary Eileen Slater (nee Gilmore) passed away peacefully March 20, 2022, the first day of Spring. Born December 18, 1932, in Saint Petersburg, Florida, survived by sons Steven John Slater and David Howard Slater, friend and caregiver Brenda Malowany, poodle Tiki, dove Mrs. Hemingway and many friends.
In her abundant life Eileen was an avid Tampa Bay Rays fan and a licensed daycare giver, specializing in taking care of her “Miracle Babies.” She raised parakeets and canaries, companion poodles, and a beautiful native Florida garden. She was a long-time member of Business and Professional Women (BPW) and the Historic Kenwood Neighborhood Association, (HKN the neighborhood she lived in for over 60 years).
