Eileen Stapleton Kozey's Obituary
Kozey, Eileen Stapleton, 92, of Largo, Florida peacefully passed away on October 25th 2014 at Suncoast Hospice. A long time resident of Philadelphia, PA, Bethesda, MD, and most recently Indianapolis, IN, she had happily moved to Largo in March of this year. Eileen was a passionate member of the Indianapolis Bridge Center as a Silver Life Master, friend and mentor to many. An avid Colts football fan, she also delighted in nature and read widely, from natural history to mysteries. Most of all, Mrs. Kozey loved her family and friends and was a joy to all. Preceded in death by her husband Stephen V. Kozey, survived by her children Stephen G. (Linda Leonard) Kozey, and Kathleen (Dennis) Kozey Krohn; grandchildren and spouses: Matthew and Elizabeth Kozey, Christopher and Kathryn Kozey, James Patrick Leonard Kozey, granddaughter, Hannah Lilian Krohn: great grandson, Theodore Michael Kozey; her sister in law Francis Kozey: nieces Elaine (and Dennis) Thelan, Pamela Kozey, Janice Kozey (and Jack Cambest), Michele Kozey (and Randy Ruppert).
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 12pm, Saturday, November 8th at the Unitarian Universalists of Clearwater Octagon, 2470 Nursery Rd., Clearwater. A service in Indianapolis is being planned.
In lieu of flowers please donate to the Suncoast Hospice of Pinellas County, or the National Audubon Society.
