Edward S. Minor's Obituary
Minor, Edward, 94, passed away peacefully on November 10th, 2021. He was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin to Edward and Florence Minor. After graduating from high school, he enlisted in the Marine Corps and served during World War II. After his service, he attended Marquette University earning his Doctorate of Dental Surgery after which he began his decades long career as a dentist until his retirement in 1989. His love of the outdoors began with perch fishing as a child and duck hunting as a young man in Wisconsin, and continued after his move to Florida with the successful pursuit of every sport and game fish Florida has to offer. He also loved the sport of bowling and was an active league member, youth coach, and GCUSBC president, and 1992 hall of fame inductee. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Marilyn (Christianson), brother, Morrison Minor, and his favorite child, Lady (his dog). He is survived by his children, Lynn Truax (Bill) of St. Petersburg, FL; Edward M. Minor of St. Petersburg, FL; Charles Minor of Seminole, FL; 8 grandchildren Susan (Paul), Rachel (Larry), Lauren (Kyle), Billy (Chanice), Victoria (Patrick), Neal, Jake, and Kira, 9 great-grandchildren, and his beloved companion of the past 13 years, Doris Sedacca.
