Mr. Eduardo Jesus Camejo's Obituary
Eduardo Jesus Camejo passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the age of 47. He was born in Manuel Lazo, Cuba to Miriam J Garriga and Lazaro M Camejo. He leaves behind his father Lazaro Camejo, his sister Lidia Montero, his wife Marlene Camejo, his son Justin C Camejo, and his partner Marc Green. He was also a loving uncle to his, as he would say, “favorite niece Leidy Martinez and favorite nephew Jonathan Montero.”
Eduardo and his family immigrated to the United States at the age of twelve. He quickly adjusted to life in America. As a young man, he was driven, determined, and compassionate; characteristics that helped pave his adventurous career. He was a banker for 15 years then he explored the world of art and developed into a very talented artist. From that interest, Galleria Bohemia was opened sponsoring well-known local Cuban artist from Cuba and the States. Later, he ventured into real estate photography.
Eduardo was best known for having a very playful sense of humor. His family and friends could tell many great stories that paint an eclectic portrait of Ed. Always considered “a people person,” he was resourceful, ambitious, and artistic. Very family-orientated, he was a loving and supporting father to his son. Ed cherished his family and friends. He showed kindness and guidance to everyone he knew, creating life-long friendships.
Touching many lives, Eduardo will be missed for his compassion, generosity and playful humor.
Viewing and visitation will be held for family and friends on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 5750 49th Street N. St. Petersburg, FL 33709 from 11am-7pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Susan Cohan Colon Cancer Foundation, https://coloncancerfoundation.org
