Earl J. Clark Sr.'s Obituary
Earl J. Clark Sr., a beloved member of the community, passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on October 11, 1942, in Lansing, Michigan, Earl dedicated 60 years of his life to GTE Telecommunications, now known as Verizon or Frontier, a job he truly loved.
Earl's passion for baseball was well-known among his friends and family. However, his greatest love was for his church and God. He was a devoted member of Gateway Baptist Church in St. Petersburg, FL, where he worshipped faithfully until his passing.
Earl was preceded in death by his wife, Lynne Clark, and his granddaughter, Jessica Clark. He leaves behind a loving family, including his son Earl Clark Jr., daughter Cindy Deck, son-in-law Paul Deck, granddaughter Kaitlyn Armes (husband Frankie Armes), grandson David Deck (wife Felicity Deck), and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Gateway Baptist Church, 7700 16th St. N, St. Petersburg, FL 33702. Those unable to attend are invited to view a livestream of the service on Gateway Baptist Church's Facebook page.
Earl's legacy of love, faith, and dedication will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
