Dot Perko's Obituary
Doris (Dot) Perko, 82, passed away peacefully on May 30th 2023, in The Springs of Boca Nursing home. She was born on November 18th 1940 to Francisco and Doris Perko in New Bedford, Massachusetts. She lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering kindness, leaving an unforgettable impact on all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Dot exemplified compassion, selflessness, and a deep devotion to her family. She was a cherished wife to Ronald Perko for 25 years and a beloved mother to Dawn, Michael, and Pamela. As a grandmother, she brought immense joy and warmth to the lives of her 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and her love extended to countless extended family members and friends.
Dot had a zest for life and enjoyed Playing Bingo, traveling, and most of all….. Dancing. She was known for her sweet tone of wisdom, and was an expert when watching Jeopardy or playing Scrabble. Her outgoing kindness for others shone through in every interaction, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Dot is survived by her sister Carol, her children Dawn, Michael, and Pamela. Her grandchildren Monica, Amber, Melissa, Jessica, Tiffany, Ian, and Taylor. Her Great grandchildren Angel, Brittany, Mackenzie, Destiny, Damien Jr., Riley, Bobby, Mathew, Julianna, Lucas, Audrey, Kylie and Bentley and even some Great Great Grandchildren Josiah, Derondo, and Aaliyah.
A celebration of Dot’s life will be held on June 17th from 2-4pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory and sharing stories of her remarkable life. Her favorite color was purple so if you would like to join us in wearing some purple she would love this!
The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. We are forever grateful to have known Dot’s genuine spirit and will embrace these moments on this day with all of you.
