Ms. Neuner was working in the Recovery Room at St. Anthony's Hospital in 1976 when I started working there as a nurse's aide. She was the consummate professional RN. She was one of the RNs there who encouraged me and were supportive when a year later I entered the School of Nursing at Florida State University. Ms Neuner was quiet and reserved, but she also was thorough and empathetic in her nursing skills. To me, an apt description of her would include "prim and proper". In a humorous situation, she would not outwardly laugh aloud, but instead she would smile, laugh softly, and have a twinkle in her eyes.
I ended up working as a RN for over 40 years --- who knows if my career had taken that route without the influence of Ms Neuner.
Sincere condolences are extended to the family, and may she rest in eternal peace.
