Dorothy O. Komin's Obituary
Komin, Dorothy, 78, passed away on August 4, 2009, after a long illness. Dorothy was born and raised in Euclid, Ohio. After marrying in 1951, she lived on a small farm in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. She and her husband belonged to a local muzzle-loaders group and she won numerous awards for her keen marksmanship. Dorothy moved to Gulfport, Florida in 1973. She worked at Canterbury School of Florida for nearly 20 years as Housemother and Secretary at the St. Thomas campus. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening, cooking and stained glass. Dorothy loved dogs and could always be found with her faithful companion at her side. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Richard, and her daughter Donna Morris. Survivors include 3 daughters, Linda (Jim) Morgan, Berea, OH; Debbie (Ken) Barna, Burton, OH; and Suzi (Chris) Kramer , Clearwater, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her honor to the Hospice of the Florida Suncoast, 5771 Roosevelt Boulevard, Clearwater, FL 33760.
