Donna Rae Bayne's Obituary
Donna Rae Bayne, 78, of, Largo Florida, passed away on August 12, 2018.
Donna was born to Robert Johnson and Melvena Smithson, on April 20th, 1940 in French Camp, CA. She graduated from Lodi Senior High School in 1958 and she served in the United States Marine Corp from 1959 – 1961. She married John R. Bayne in Washington D.C. in December of 1961. Together they raised 3 boys.
She leaves as her legacy her three children, James - born 1962 died 2018 (married to Linda), Robert– born 1963 (married to Tracy), and Jeffrey -born 1969 (married to Erin). Her children remember her as a someone that tried to see the beauty within the heart of every person she met.
She was preceded in death by: James, her eldest son; Lynn, her sister; and Melvena, her mother. Donna is also survived by her grandchildren, Daniel, Jessica, Carly, Jonathan, Onyx, Tommie, and Katherine; and her great-grandchildren, Jade, Dylan, Somer, and Silver
Donna was a medical records clerk until she retired in 2009. The last place she worked for was Suncoast Mental Health and she enjoyed helping the patients she worked with.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for August 18, 4pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home at 5750 49th Street North Saint Petersburg, Florida. A Crossing Over celebration will follow at Clearwater Beach. Her son Robert will officiate the ceremonies. The family requests that donations be made, in lieu of flowers, to Pinellas ASPCA at Https://secure.aspca.org/donate/donate. The family would also like to thank their many friends and Seasons Hospice for all of the help that they have provided during this difficult time.
