Donato "Danny" "Murph" Fornuto's Obituary
Donato "Danny" "Murph" Fornuto, age 88 passed away peacefully on Sunday August 25,2024 at Palm Garden of Largo Nursing Home in Saint Petersburg, Florida. He was born August 28, 1935 in East Harlem, New York to Anthony and Antoinette Fornuto. He was a 1953 graduate of Benjamin Franklin High School in East Harlem, New York. Shortly after completing his high school education, he moved with his parents to Long Island, New York. In 1958, he married his first wife Lucille Dinolfo and had 5 wonderful children. Throughout his life he has had several jobs in machine shops making airplane parts and working with aviation.
Later in life, he met his second wife Evelyn at an organization "Parents without Partners" which consisted of varies activities and dancing. They were companions and complemented each other best attributes. On 7/5/2003 they were married and shared twenty-one wonderful years of marriage. They moved to Saint Petersburg, Florida, to start a life together and eventually later retired. Danny's favorite sport was baseball. He was an avid Yankees fan and shortly became a Ray's fan once he acclimated to Florida. He was a part of two bowling leagues and enjoyed spending his time playing crossword puzzles and word searches. Some of his favorite memories were traveling up and down the coast with his wife Evelyn. From California to Tennessee, they shared a love for traveling and seeing the world.
Every year they attended the "Cousin's Club Picnic" which consisted of a large BBQ where all the immediate and extended family got together to eat and share memories.
Daniel was a dedicated husband and loving father and will be missed deeply. He will be remembered by his sweet gentle nature and good sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn, daughters Anne Marie Ayling and Lisa Swanson and son Michael Fornuto. He was pre-deceased in death by his sons Anthony, J. Fornuto and John E . Fornuto. Daniel is also survived by his stepchildren, Concetta Trujillo, Ida Ferrara, Antonio Ferrara, and Theresa Deblanco. He will be missed by his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Daniel will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.
Family, friends, and others lives Danny touched are invited to the join the church ceremony to honor his memory on September 27, 2024, from 11:00AM-12:00PM at St. Matthew Catholic Church located at 9111 90th Avenue Largo Florida 33777. A cemetery session will follow the church ceremony. Small arrangements can be sent to the church. In honor of his memory donations can also be made to Suncoast Hospice Foundation on 5771 Roosevelt Blvd. Clearwater Florida 33760-3407.
