Donald Roy Traas' Obituary
Donald Roy Traas of St Petersburg, Florida passed away April 15th, 2024 from complications of Parkinson’s. Donald was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Adrian and Susan Traas on October 3rd, 1947. They moved to St Petersburg, Florida when he was a child. Donald joined the army out of high school. When he came home, he became a journeyman plasterer, working while attending St Pete College and USF. College, he always said, “Just made my bacon taste better.” Donald went on to start his own company, Gulfside Plastering and Stucco, Inc., winning awards from the Florida Heritage Society, and acquiring many clients without ever advertising. He was that good at what he did. Retiring after 35 years, he and his wife Pam enjoyed traveling the world or hanging out at home, living under God’s grace, One Day at a Time. Donald leaves behind his loving wife of 45 years, Pam; daughter, Natasha Hubbard and her partner, Chris Smith; Grandchildren, Dustin, Lexi and Connor; brother, Adrian Traas; sister-in-law Julie Hill and husband Chris Hill; nieces, Roberta, Janet and Jackie.
