Dear Pat & Family,
I have very pleasant memories of when I worked with Don in Career Education as the Supervisor of Guidance. He was such a great guy! When I had questions or needed input on some issues, he would always be willing to assist with solutions. Since I was the hyper, wilder guy in the department, Don was a good balance for the office! I admired so much Don's gentle and easy going demeanor. I have wonderful memories of Don, and I know you have a treasured collection of memories, as well.

I was a member of the 328th Comm/Recon Co and served with Don at Bad Aibling, Germany during the Korean Conflict in the 50's.
Don was assigned to a different "trick" than me while in Germany so It is through our reunions that me and my late wife became friends to Don & Pat. I will always remember seeing Don & Pat coming down the street at our 2004 reunion in Bad Aibling and stopping them to ask where we could get money exchanged. The two of them were so helpful and this was the first time I had really had an opportunity to spend one on one with the two of them. I had found out about the group having reunions in 2002 and did not attend the 2003 reunion in California.
Don was such a quiet, kind, soft spoken individual and we enjoyed seeing him and Pat each year at our reunions. So saddened to hear of his passing and I am sure I speak for our group when I say " rest in peace dear brother and we will be praying for Pat and your family during these difficult days."
