Donald Glen Kelso's Obituary
Donald Glen Kelso, 81, of St. Petersburg, FL, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2021. Don was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a founding member of the Joker Club (late 50s-early 60s), where he met his beloved wife of 58 years, Mary Jo, and a proud father and grandfather. He retired from Honeywell in 1996 as a Sr. Production Engineer and worked for ECI (E-Systems) from 1967-80, where he successfully solved all process problems for the master interconnect assembly for the Trident MK6 memory program. Don was predeceased by his parents and his brothers James (Jim) and Dean. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Lou (Chuck) Horn, three sons, Kevin (Amy), Joe (John) and Todd (Tracy), four grandchildren, Kyle, Gavin (Briana) O’Berry, Kirsten and Corey, and three great grandchildren, Cason, Easton and Sailor O’Berry. He is also survived by brother-in-law Tom (Nancy) Kropp, and sisters-in-law, Joanne (Ray) Bourque and Nancy Kropp and many nieces and nephews. Don enjoyed fishing, bowling, traveling and sharing stories of his childhood mishaps and his many adventures. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends, especially his grandchildren, who loved their “Pa” dearly. A graveside service will be held at 11 am on June 25th at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5750 49th St N, St Petersburg, FL. In lieu of flowers, his family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
