I’ve known DiAnne Hartz, née DeCresie, since high school, where we were both very shy, and bonded over wishing to be invisible in the halls. lol
I remember spending many days at her parents house near Crescent Lake, where she and her mom would TRY to teach me the proper way to make Italian meatball soup - I always made the meatballs too big.
Later, we worked at Florida Federal on 38th Ave. where we started out as tellers, both of us being terrible at math 🤣 and when we worked the drive-thru together, my mom would pull up to “make a deposit”, that deposit would always be two cans of Pepsi and two Reese’s cups - DiAnne’s favorites.
To say she LOVED football would be an understatement, she would host parties at her house when the Bucs played, and she always had the best snacks. Now, I liked football, but never really understood the plays 😵💫 however, I would be at every party, along with our friend and coworker, Thomas P. Flynn - who LOVES football as much as DiAnne.
She was in my 1st. wedding, and I was at the hospital when two of her three children were born.
Once our kids were a little bit older we would go “yard-sailing” on Saturday mornings with Tina Spencer Lindsay, and sometimes my sweet momma would come too. 🩷
There are so many stories, and even more memories of nearly a lifetime of friendship. Too many to put in a post.
I’m thankful for our friendship, Diney, and I’m going to miss it, and you.
Love you always, Chandra
