David A Crowley Jr's Obituary
David A. Crowley Jr., 77, of St. Petersburg, passed away on February 15, 2019. David was born in Greenwich, CT on January 13, 1942, son of Lucille and David Crowley. The family moved to St. Petersburg and then Tampa, where he grew up and attended school. David obtained an Associate of Science degree in 1974, an Associate of Arts degree in 1975 and served four years in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Zaragoza, Spain, where he met and married his beloved wife, Amada Gasca Growley. They moved to Tampa where he spent the next thirty years working for the Post Office and retired in 2000. David is survived by his three children David Crowley III (Sabra Chambers), Robert Crowley (Kelly Cox) and Julie Zuzula; his grandchildren Madison Crowley, Ryan Cox, and Kevin Cox; sisters Dorothy Doring and Kathleen Crowley; brothers Daniel Fry (Judy Fry) and Scott Crowley (Barbara); nephews Evan Fry and Jeremy Fry; Ryan Hyatt and Drew Hyatt; Niece Kandice Hyatt; nephew, Bobby Conway and cousin Elizabeth Bersick. He is predeceased by his loving wife Amada Gasca Crowley; his parents, Lucille and David Crowley and niece Jennifer Doring.
David loved working with his hands. He worked on cars, clocks, watches, etc. His career with the Post Office consisted of working on and repairing machines. He loved the challenge of taking things apart and putting them back together and he took pride in everything he did. He loved to read books, collect stamps and coins, going to the gun range, camping and traveling. David was a man of few words; however, his words were full of wisdom. He will be greatly missed.
