Daniel B. Hoon's Obituary
HOON, Daniel B., 88, of St. Petersburg, died Wednesday, August 9, 2018 after a long illness. He was born May 29, 1930 in Washington DC and came to St. Petersburg with family in 1946. He is survived by a son, Charles Hoon, of Riverview and a stepson, John Figgatt of South Carolina; and three step granddaughters, Danielle Figgatt of St. Petersburg, and Heather Keen and Brittany Dimatta of Jacksonville. He is also survived by two brothers, Byron of St. Petersburg and Walter of Waunakee, WI; two sisters, Priscilla Hoon of Pinellas Park and Nancy Lander of Gulfport; and several nieces and nephews. He was a valued employee of Trade Winds Beach Resort, St. Pete Beach, with 27 years of service. He was an excellent journeyman, able to fix anything, and loved fishing, jazz, and blues. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. Visitation and services at Memorial Park will be at a later date at the convenience of the family.
