Daniel R Fowler's Obituary
Daniel Ray Fowler passed away suddenly on Friday, November 15, 2019 at the age of 58. Daniel is survived by his mother Marilyn VanGoey; sisters Linda Jobe and her spouse Brian, Melody Pippin and her spouse Tom; children Harmony Matthews and her spouse Kenny and Hunter Fowler;5 grandchildren, Kenny Mike, Ethan, Milly, Jemma and Soren; nieces Nichole and Amanda, nephews Kyle and Cody; great niece Sophia. He is predeceased by his father Ray Fowler and stepfather Charles VanGoey.
With the love for his country Dan enlisted into the U.S. Army Reserves as an infantryman. He had a long career with U-Haul, starting as a hitch man eventually advancing over the years to Vice President of Shop Services, traveling all over the United States.
Dan was an avid fan of all sports. With baseball being his first love. His favorite player was Ichiro Suzuki of the Seattle Mariners whom he followed throughout his career and even named his dog Ichiro. Born in South Bend, Indiana, the Blue and Gold ran through his veins as he supported Notre Dame win or lose.
He will be remembered for his teasing jokes, his wildly entertaining stories, his unfailing work ethic and his warm smile and laughter. A good friend to many he was always willing to lend a helping hand. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and father whose memory will be cherished.
The viewing will be held on Friday November 22, 12:00-2:00 pm at Memorial Park 5750 49th Street No St. Petersburg, FL 33709. Followed by a service and reception, please join us in Celebration of his Life.
