Constance D. Parkhurst's Obituary
Mrs. Constance D. Parkhurst of St. Petersburg, Florida and formerly of Tonawanda, New York, passed away peacefully in her home Thursday, December 10, 2020 with her loving family by her side. She was 90. Constance was born March 3, 1930 in Linden, New Jersey; the beloved daughter of the late Peter and Geraldine Mazza. She devoted her life to caring for her 6 children. She was strong in her faith and actively committed to her church at St. Jude the Apostle Cathedral in St. Petersburg and St. Amelia’s Roman Catholic Church in Tonawanda, New York. She was a beloved wife, a devoted mother, dear sister and loving grandmother that will be dearly missed. Constance was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67+ years Merle S. Parkhurst, and sisters Frances Mazza and Mary Reak. She is survived by her children, Martin Parkhurst (Linda), Darlene Depriest (the late Jay 2015), Karen Miller Parkhurst (the late Tom 2016), Daniel Parkhurst (Lynne), Linda Harms and Ronald Parkhurst (Rebecca). She is also survived by her brothers Nicholas Mazza and Gerald Mazza; nineteen grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. Visitation will be 10am to 12pm on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home 5750 49th St. N, St. Petersburg, FL 33709 followed by Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 pm at St. Jude the Apostle Cathedral 5815 5th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33710. Immediately following mass, friends and family will recess to Memorial Park Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name are suggested to her two parishes, St. Jude the Apostle Church 5815 5th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33710 or St. Amelia’s Roman Catholic Church 210 St. Amelia Dr., Tonawanda, NY.
