Connie Jean Foster's Obituary
Connie Jean (Cunningham) Foster passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Born on June 16, 1955, in Danville, Illinois, she moved to Florida with her family at the age of five, where she built a life centered on love, family, and faith.
Connie was the heart of her family - a devoted mother, proud grandmother, loving partner, and loyal friend whose kindness and selfless spirit touched everyone who knew her. She believed in God and lived her life guided by compassion, patience, and forgiveness. Her gentle heart and unwavering love made others feel safe, supported, and deeply cared for.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John David Cunningham and Doris (Mitchell) Cunningham; her sister, Jacqueline L. Cottrell; her brother, Ronald L. Cunningham; and her husband, Donald R. Foster.
She is lovingly survived by her daughter, Melissa Lamy; her “favorite” son-in-law, Michael Lamy; her beloved granddaughter, Alyssa Lamy; her fiancé whom she loved dearly, Brian Dufresne; and many cherished friends who became family throughout her life.
As a mother, Connie was truly the best a daughter could ask for, loving, patient, forgiving, and endlessly supportive. There was nothing she would not do for her child. Her daughter always knew she could turn to her for advice, comfort, laughter, and unconditional love. As a grandmother, she shared that same devotion, taking great joy in teaching, encouraging, and celebrating her granddaughter. She loved Alyssa beyond words and was immensely proud of the person she became and all of her accomplishments.
Connie found happiness in life’s simple and joyful moments. She loved camping, traveling, the mountains, riding ATVs, cooking, and trying new recipes to share with those she loved. Her lifelong love of horses began in childhood and remained close to her heart, and she enjoyed watching all forms of dance. Above all, she treasured time spent with family and friends, creating memories filled with warmth and laughter.
Though her family mourns her passing, they find comfort knowing she is now at peace in the arms of our Lord and reunited with loved ones who went before her. Her love was our greatest gift, and her memory will live on in every laugh, every lesson, and every moment we hold close. She leaves footprints of love on our hearts that time can never erase.
