Cleopatra "Pat" Economou, 88, of Redington Shores, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 16, 2025.
Beloved wife of the late John Economou. Loving mother of Timothy Economou, Charles Economou, Gregory (Jill) Economou, and James Economou. Dearest Yiayia of Alexandra (Dominic) Diambri, Yianni Economou, Nikoletta Economou, and English Todd. Great Yiayia of Daniel John Diambri. Caring sister to Penelope Papadimitriou and the late Lambro Lampropoulos.
Cleopatra was born on December 8, 1936 in Karditsa, Greece to the late Kostas and Persephone Lampropoulos. She was the eldest of three children. At the age of 17, she met the love of her life, John Economou. After a short courtship, they were married and Cleopatra immigrated to the United States to start a family in Detroit, Michigan.
Cleopatra had a deep love for her family. She was never happier than when spending time all together. She also enjoyed playing cards, cooking her delicious Greek food, listening and dancing to Greek music, cross-stitching and reminiscing with family photos. She was a proud and active member of the St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church and the Ladies Philoptochos where she made lasting friendships.
Cleopatra touched the lives of all who knew her. She was a loving and caring woman, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, always thinking of others first. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
A funeral service to honor Cleopatra’s life will be held at St. Stefanos Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 8:30 AM. Visitation will start at 8:00 AM, and she will be laid to rest beside her late husband at Florida National Cemetery at 12:30 pm.
