Clare Kathleen Jooris' Obituary
Clare Kathleen Jooris, 88, of New Port Richey, passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Clare was born on February 18, 1936 in Brockton, Massachusetts to her parents Beatrice and George Doherty, the youngest of eight children.
At age 19, Clare enlisted in the United States Army and served for three years as a dental specialist at the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. After her time serving her country had finished, Clare decided to pursue a career in healthcare and was a successful medical assistant for over 40 years, working in both general medicine and cardiology. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend.
Clare is predeceased by her parents, Beatrice and George Doherty Sr.; brothers George Doherty Jr., Gerald Doherty, and Robert Doherty, sister Eileen Smith, and her parents-in-law Robert and Anna Jooris. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Daniel Jooris, her son Daniel Robert Jooris; grandchildren Dalton, Brandon, and Kylie; and her sisters Eleanor Beliveau, Barbara Keohane, and Grace Orcutt. She will be dearly missed.
A graveside service will take place on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 12:00 in Memorial Park Cemetery.
