With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Christopher “Chris” Caldwell, who was born on May 20, 1957, at Camp Pendleton, California, and passed away peacefully at home on February 1, 2026, in St. Petersburg, Florida. Chris was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joyce Caldwell, his sister, Laurie Long-Rutledge and his niece, Michelle Stewart.
He leaves behind a family who loved him deeply: his daughters, Lindsey Lane (Mike) and Kelsey Jacobsen (Luke); his beloved granddaughters, Adelynn, Vivianne, and Gwendolyn, who brought him endless joy and pride; his sisters, Virginia Stewart (David) and Pamela Bentley; five nephews; extended family and many friends who became family along the way.
Chris grew up in Mt. Healthy, Ohio, where he met Jody Ranz, his lifelong companion and former wife, beginning a remarkable 50-year bond filled with shared memories, laughter, and unwavering support.
