Christine was born on April 18th, 1938 in Solna, Stockholm, Sweden to Karin and famous Swedish actor Rune Halvarsson. She came to California in 1960, and soon moved to New York; where she and her husband Tony met. Together, they worked very hard in life to build their financially successful businesses in: dry ice, candy store & soda shop, moped rental & car dealerships, rental properties, and laundromats. She and her husband moved to St. Petersburg, Florida, in the 90’s. She continued to be a small business owner until her retirement due to her husband unexpectedly passing away.
Christine loved being one with nature at their Upstate property In New York, and when she moved to Florida, she loved being on their boat and the beach. She was very involved in her grandchildren’s lives: She took them out to dinner every week, drove them to after school activities, bought them suits for school competitions, showed up for every sports game, and even took some of them back home with her to Sweden, Switzerland and Paris.
As she and they got older, she never lost that sense of adventure, pep in her step, or unique sense of humor. and they continued to make wonderful memories together. The people they grew into, the values she instilled in them, made them truly one of a kind. She was a very loving, wonderful, and amazing woman that would help anyone in need, regardless of who they were. Through inconceivable odds and hardship, she pushed through it and made the best of any situation. She came to America with nothing but herself, and she made the American dream a reality for her and her family. She will be missed more than words could ever encapture. We love you Mom and MorMor.
