Mr. Chester A. Bickford's Obituary
Bickford, Chester A., 100, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away peacefully November 24, 2015, less than one week after celebrating his 100th birthday. Chester was born November 19, 1915 in Somerville, Mass. to William and Louise Bickford.
A WWII U.S. Army veteran, Chester proudly served his country. He was a member of the St. Petersburg Reserve Police for over 20 years, subsequently rising to the rank of Captain. Chester also worked for the St. Pete Times for over 25 years.
Chester had a passion for travel and for his family. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Mildred. Survivors include his children, William Bickford and Hazel Peters; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be private.
