Mrs. Cheryl Dawn Cimato Goforth's Obituary
Goforth, Cheryl Dawn Cimato, born in Ft. Lauderdale on January 27, 1955, passed away unexpectedly at age 58 on April 19, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas Joseph and Elizabeth Moser Cimato and husband Stephen William Goforth. Cheryl is survived by her loving son Richard William Goforth of Madeira Beach, FL. She was currently serving as CNO at Northside Hospital in St. Petersburg. Cheryl graduated from Broward Community College with a degree in nursing; Barry University with a BS in Professional Studies and continued studies in Healthcare Administration at Nova University. During the course of her career, she served as Chief Nursing Officer at Humana Hospital Cypress, NME Delray Community Hospital, AMI North Ridge Medical Center, all in Florida; Southern Hills Medical Center and Skyline Medical Center, both in TN; LifePoint Hospitals- Meadowview Regional Hospital, in KY; Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Brandon Regional Hospital, both FL; and Trident Medical Center, Charleston, SC, all along a dedicated healthcare professional striving for overall improvement of the hospitals and especially patient healthcare.
She was a loving mother, dedicated wife and a soft touch for every homeless creature-2 or 4 legged.
Cheryl's philosophy on life was "You only run around the track once, so make it mean something. Every day is a gift, enjoy it and make it meaningful to yourself and everyone you come in contact with." The visitation will be this evening from 4pm to 6pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home and the service will start at 6pm. Interment will take place at Snelson Memorial Cemetery, Leicester, NC.
