Charles E. Schlosser's Obituary
Charles “Chuck” Edward Schlosser, 93, passed away on December 13, 2023, in St. Petersburg, Florida. He was born on September 9, 1930, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Clarence Schlosser and Louise Schlosser nee Apel.
From January 16, 1951 – December 13, 1954, Chuck selflessly served his country in the Navy. He was a proud Korean War Veteran and was active in his local American Legion.
Chuck was an avid boater and loved spending time on Lake Erie. He was a dedicated family man and raised six kids with his wife, Sandra. Chuck worked for 30 years in the transportation industry as a bus driver, and after retiring in 1985, he and his wife migrated to Florida to enjoy the warmer weather.
Chuck was very active in the Shriners, an organization that he held dear to his heart. Chuck was also a member of the Scottish Rite, American Legion, VFW, 40+8, and the Moose Lodge. In his free time, he enjoyed word searches to keep his mind sharp.
He is survived by his six children, Michelle Piszczor nee Schlosser, Lecia Matheney nee Schlosser, Lon Schlosser, Susan Bailey nee Schlosser, Barbara Hill nee Schlosser, and David Schlosser, 13 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Sadly, his wife Sandra L. Schlosser nee Churko predeceases him, as well as his good friend Fred Schuman and daughter-in-law, Margaret Schlosser.
Chuck will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Services are being planned for both Florida and Ohio, please check back soon for more details. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to Shriner’s Hospital by following the link below:
