Charles Kenneth Hill's Obituary
Charles Kenneth Hill, 68 years old, of Kenneth City, Florida, died in his sleep on Saturday, April 21st, 2018.
Ken, as he was known by his closest friends and family, or Dad, as he was known by his children, or Papa Dad or Grampa as he was known by his grandkids, was born October 10,1949, in Hartwell, GA, and had lived a majority of his early years in Anderson, SC before eventually relocating to Florida for nearly twenty years of his life. He moved around frequently, working as an industrial engineer in the textile industry, and over the course of his lifetime, he had lived in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Alabama, and Florida. He was a proud high school graduate and held an associate degree in business. He was an avid lover of books, nature, alligators, horror movies, music, and coffee. He also loved and was loved dearly by his family.
He is survived by his wife, Georgine Hill; his sons Gabe Hill and Jason Hill; his daughter, Rachael DuBois; his stepdaughter Deirdre Moore; his stepsons Derek Pruett, Daniel Pruett, and Dillon Pruett; his granddaughters Elizabeth Ray, Julianne Ray, Vivian Hill, and Susannah Hill; his grandsons Allen Hill, Jason Hill, Jr., and Caleb Hill; his sisters Barbara Mattison and Sue Bolding; his brothers Mike Hill, Jerry Hill, and Terry Hill, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Hill and Eva Hill; his brother, Doyle Hill; and his sister Mary Francis Hill.
A small service was held at 3 p.m. on Monday, April 23, at the Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.
Anyone who knew Ken knew that he loved his family and his beloved dogs more than life itself.
