Carolyn Louise Gross' Obituary
Carolyn Louise Gross-Hoppert was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She left this world on June 12, 2021 at 65 years of age.
Carolyn was born in Ohio to Norman and Dorothy Anderson on May 30, 1956. She is survived by her three brothers Norman, Karl, and George. The bulk of her childhood was spent in Palm Beach, Florida where she attended and graduated from King’s Academy High School.
Carolyn raised two children, Albert and Jennifer, in St Petersburg, FL with ex-husband Albert Gross Jr. until they divorced in 1998. Focused on helping the next generation, Carolyn worked at Pinellas County School system performing cafeteria, maintenance and custodial services over the years, retiring in 2015. It was there that she met Larry Hoppert, dedicated husband, whom she married in 2003.
Carolyn loved the outdoors. She and Larry frequently traveled on cruises and camping trips where she loved to sit outdoors with her dog and a good book. In life she opened her home to friends and family and helped anyone in need, a legacy and lesson that will forever be paid forward through all those she has helped.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Larry Hoppert, her children Albert and Jennifer, son-in-law Joe, daughter-in-law Stacy, and her three grandchildren: Deacon, Jackson and Jorja. They will cherish the memories made possible through her dedication to family.
