Simmons, Carol A., 69 of St. Petersburg, FL
Beloved Mother, caring Grandmother & Great Grandmother (Grammy), passed away Feb. 5th, 2014, joining her mother Helen McRee, brother Lee Schroeder, and Uncle Cliff Andrews. Born in Orlando, FL in 1944, raised her sons Bill and Larry in Pinellas County. Hardworking and dedicated mother, she started her career as assistant to Tom James of Raymond James & Assoc. in 1960's and never looked back. Member of SPYC for many years, she loved sailing and weekend adventures. After returning from AZ in 1980, she became main distributor in FL for Aloe Vera products for SASCO, which funded the initial startup of healthcare & benefits software company C/G Data Corp, eventually a $20million enterprise. Bumped out of daily operations, went on to start other companies in Business Services, Energy Management, Entertainment, Apple software products, Data Equipment Sales & Services, and finally settled into Real Estate as Broker/Owner of Quantum Realty Solutions, with partners Jerry White and son Bill. After living in Paradise Valley, AZ in 1978-80, she returned and spent 1993-2000 travelling the South West, getting her AZ Real Estate License, Auto Sales and dealer Finance training in CA, then Time Share sales in Phoenix and Las Vegas. Involved with various Multi-Level marketing adventures, she was ambitious and entrepreneurial. Family and grandkids brought her back to the Tampa Bay Area in 2001, and her tough, inspirational, motivational, and supporting love was always pushing all of us to be the best that we can be. Survived by son Bill,wife, and his sons, Trey, Brandon, Blake, Chris & Dillon, Bill's grandsons Ethan & Jason, and son Larry, wife, and his daughter Angel, and grandkids Luna, Logan & Leo, and Carol's brother Lynn McRee & many nephews and nieces.
