Carol Beth Angle's Obituary
On Wednesday, February 19, 2025, Carol Beth Angle, our beautiful soul, passed away at home in Gulfport, Florida with loved ones present and transitioned immediately to Heaven to the waiting arms of family members that preceded her.
Carol Beth was born on August 1, 1946 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to her parents Marion and Mary Calbeck. She had one brother, Jack and two sisters, Lois Anne and Barby. Carol Beth is survived by her loving spouse Bob Angle, her children Denise Herman, Darin de Alvarez (Melissa), Peter de Alvarez (Kim), stepchildren Mary Tuszynski (Dave) and Robb Angle, along with eight beautiful grandchildren; all of whom she loved and cherished. She is also survived by her brother Jack Calbeck (Elaine) and sister Barby Oktavec (Ray). Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Mary Calbeck, her first spouse, Pedro de Alvarez, her son Joey de Alvarez and her sister Lois Anne Shufflebarger.
Carol Beth graduated from Boca Ciega High School in 1964 and received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from The University of South Florida in 1969. That was the start of a rewarding career as a kindergarten teacher for the Hillsborough County School Board for 38 years and she was recognized as Teacher of the Year in 1988, a testament to her commitment and impact on her students and community.
A Celebration of Life for Carol Beth has been scheduled tentatively for May 31, 2025, where family and friends are invited to commemorate her life and legacy. Details will be forthcoming.
Carol Beth will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her students, her unconditional love for all her family members and her unique ability to provide joy to all she met. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
