Carl Janes' Obituary
Carl Janes, born June 12, 1930 to Carl Thomas Janes and Isabel, of Ionia, MI; passed away peacefully in his sleep to his eternal home early Sunday morning, December 23, 2018. Carl Worked years for Dexter Lock in Grand Rapids, MI until relocating in 1982 to Pinellas Park where he worked in the service industry. He was hard-working, kind-hearted; and would strike up conversations with total strangers finding his way into the hearts of everyone he met. He loved the Lord and served by driving the church bus for West Cannon Baptist Church in Ada, MI for many years. He served in the same capacity for Praise Cathedral driving in the surrounding areas of St. Petersburg. He married Marjorie Rich in 1953 and had two children, Carl Lee and Darrell Eugene. They were married for 36 years until her passing in 1989. He married Jane Hazellief in 1997. They were married for 21 wonderful Years. He was proceeded in death by Marjorie Rich Janes, Jane (Edna) Hazellief Janes, half-brother Ted; son Darrell and granddaughter Kimberly and step-daughter Marlene Doyle. He is survived by his Sisters Betty Loveless, June Downing, Barbara Adams; son Carl Janes (Renee); and grandchildren, Nathan (Jenni) Janes, Angela (Nathan) Reutter, Hayley Janes. Bradly Janes, Elizabeth (Simoo) Sipili, Emily (John) Borg, Leslie (James) Purvis, Nichole Janes and many great grandchildren. Step-children Larry (Pat) Hazellief, Betty Hooks and many step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 11:00 AM, with a graveside service at 12:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 5750 49th St. North, St. Petersburg, FL. 33709. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Suncoast Hospice.
