Brian Noren's Obituary
Brian was born in Oak Harbor Washington at the Naval Air Station, Whidbey Island WA on September 5th 1960. He weighed anchor for his final voyage from this earth on September 21st 2020.
From early on, Brian brought joy and love to all whose life he touched. He is survived by his son, Nicholas of Dunedin, his parents, Rees and Connie, of Madeira Beach, his brothers Jeffery, of Clearwater, and Bradley and sister in law April of Edgewater, Maryland.
He was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and nephews.
Brian loved life. At the age of 17, he graduated from Central Highschool in Elkhart Indiana. Even as a young man, he was certainly well traveled. New places and experiences helped to shape him into the well-rounded man he became. He had lived in 5 states-Washington (twice), California (twice), Texas (twice), Indiana, Virginia and 3 years in Naples, Italy. He had attended 10 schools, due to his parents’ military change of duty orders. He was already an accomplished skier, water and snow, swimmer, draftsman, mechanic and boater. Brian eventually settled in Florida where he raised a family, started and ran a small business, and left a positive impact on the lives of many.
Brian preferred working outside and working with his hands. He enjoyed making things, repairing, and enjoyed seeing the final results from the fruits of his labor. Brian was a natural at working with raw materials, machinery or structures. If you needed a handyman, or someone to build a house from the ground up, he was the person to call. Creation was certainly a passion, but his strongest love was of boats and all things pertaining to the maritime life. He owned a number of vessels and was a skilled and responsible operator of them all. Brian took pride in maintaining all of his vehicles, boats and homes and they always stood out from the herd. Life aboard his last boat for several years was always a long-time dream of his, and he enjoyed his membership with The St Petersburg yacht club.
As the oldest brother of three, a father, a mentor, and a husband, Brian was always deservedly looked up to. He could always be counted on for sage advice on life skills, lessons on various sports and social activities, and the occasional swift kick to the rear. Brian will always be remembered, loved, and live on in the hearts of many forever. A celebration of life to honor Brian Noren will be held at a later date.
