Billy G Myers' Obituary
Billy Gene Myers was born June 19, 1958 in Ringgold, Louisiana to Elmer W “Buddy” & Ellece H. Myers. He was raised and educated in Castor, Louisiana. Billy was a Christian raised in the Baptist faith and in his later years was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He served the United States military; in both the Air Force and Army. In the Army he served as a chef and went on to work as a restaurant manager, a hairdresser and many other occupations that allowed him to help his fellow friends and neighbors. Billy lived a full, active life with many passions including: cooking, gardening, history, Germany, fishing, traveling, and being at his home. But, the greatest joy of his life was his family. He enjoyed nothing more than a phone call or visit, sharing a cup of coffee, and retelling stories of his childhood and days gone by.
He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Herbert W. Myers and T.J. Myers.
Left to cherish his memory is his life-long companion Ricky Morison of St Petersburg, Florida; one sister: Winnie Myers Dubois & Billy of Springhill, Louisiana; Brothers: Gabby Myers & Eletha and Bobby Myers & Shirley both of Castor, Louisiana, and special friend Shirley Rushing, as well as many other family members and many friends.
