A Loving and Devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother
Natick, MA – Beverly Ann Prendergast, 86, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, May 17th, 2017. Formerly a long -time resident of Hudson, MA she was most recently residing in Natick, MA with her son James and his wife Elizabeth following the passing of the love of her life and doting husband of sixty-three years, Donald James Prendergast.
She was born in Utica, NY to James Frederick and Muriel Frances (Williams) Albright. The oldest of six siblings, she is survived by her sister Carol Belmont. She leaves her nine children: James (Elizabeth), Catherine (Mark) Pittman, Thomas (Deborah), Teresa (Nick) Karangioze, Kevin (Calli), Mary Louise (Don Jr.) Kadlik, Mark, William (Trish), Christopher, along with her twenty grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Bev was a dedicated and loving homemaker, an excellent cook and the consummate host for every family gathering throughout her long life. She especially enjoyed hosting her annual Christmas Breakfast following midnight Mass for her large family and many friends, whom she always considered and treated as family.
After raising her children Bev dedicated herself to helping others by returning to school and earn her LPN and going on to serve patients at the Bolton (MA) Nursing Home.
Bev and Don spent their summer vacation every year with their children in the Thousand Islands, NY and would later go on to spend summers there at Linda Island welcoming back her children and her beloved grandchildren. Following Don’s retirement, they relocated near their son Mark to St. Petersburg, FL where they were always delighted to host family and friend as they enjoyed the sunshine, beaches and lack of winter snow.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Zepherin’s Catholic Church, Wayland, MA. Beverly will be interred at a later date at Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Petersburg, FL.
