Mrs. Betty Vallejo Dillon's Obituary
Betty Vallejo Dillon passed away peacefully September 22, 2015. Betty was born in Tampa Florida on August 23rd 1927. She is survived by her daughter Brenda Marr, son-in- law Michael Marr and her beloved grandson Zachary Marr and grand dog Macy. She is also survived by her nieces Bonnie Belcher and Pam Fleming and their children as well as her sister- in- law and brother- in- law, Charlotte and Ken Mulholland and their children Mike Mulholland and Laura Cole and their children.
She was predeceased by her parents, Alfred and Mazie Vallejo, husband, Richard T. Dillon, sister and brother- in- law Gerry and Frank Pollard.
Betty graduated from Hillsborough High School and enjoyed participating in monthly reunions until a few years ago. She worked at Gem Jewelers which later became Stanley Jewelers and finally Friedman’s Jewelers in downtown Tampa. She later worked for Burdines in gifting wrapping which was something she loved to do. She was involved with PTA, Tampa Junior Civic Association and the Women’s Service League. She participated in many activities at Stetson Law School and enjoyed helping decorate many of the guest quarters there.
Her favorite activity was spending time with friends, whether it was playing cards, going to shows, movies, and lunch or dinner. She loved to walk on the beach and play with her grandson. She was so proud of her family and left us with so much love and wonderful memories.
